Hindsight film ramblings

Okay, I could not stick to my promise of 'a favorite funny scene' so here are a couple from classic Hollywood that remind me to see the absurd, laugh, and be a tad silly.  Hey, I think that is a motto to live by.

The first was suggested by my friend Marianne Benforado.  God, I love this scene, Groucho's zingers are one after another, so be sure to listen closely, and then of course all of the actors as working parts leading up to the grand out-pouring of a conclusion.

Then there is pretty much anything from Mel Brook's Blazing Saddles (1974) or Young Frankenstein (1974).  Love this bit from Blazing Saddles.

Honorable mentions:  any scene from "this is Spinal Tap, or "Waiting for Guffman"  This clip is from Guffman with O'Hara and Williard,  Love how she lip syncs with him, hilarious.

Then there is Bridesmaids, Bringing up Baby, on and on, maybe I should do 100 days of classic Hollywood comedies.  Let me know.  Oh, wait one more, the fight scene from Anchorman, can't even handle this without getting slightly ill from laughing so hard.

Best line ever, when Igor, in Young Frankenstein, is asked the name of the brain He stole...."I think it was Abby...Abby Normal"  :)
