Classic Kids, or 100 films the kid in your life have to see by 13 or else!
Day 64: Murder She Said(1961) *kids over 8
This is one of the safest, silly and satisfying murder mysteries, with the wonderful character actor Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple. There are several reasons to watch this: Margaret Rutherford, English setting, mid 60s vibe. Directed by George Pollock, based on the novel 4.50 from Paddington by Agatha Christie. The production also starred American actor Arthur Kennedy. See if you can figure who the murderer is!!!
Media literacy questions for kids: Why is Miss Marple such a unique character? What is the key moral of the film? How does the English countryside serve as a setting?
Themes: Persistence, Mysteries, Police, Intelligence
