Another great dance scene From Kiss Me Kate, but today we celebrate the totally tremendous tapping of Ann Miller. This scene is just pure fun. As a former tapper, I can assure you She is insanely fast. In an effort to compete with the growing popularity of Television, Hollywood began making more films in the 3 D process, this film is one of the earliest and best examples. Notice, how the filmmakers use the filming process to enhance this scene, you see Miller throws scarves, jewelry, and whatever towards the camera, showcasing the now enhanced visual depth, provided by 3 D. Ann Miller is superb here, in what is really a rather provocative strip tease, done to taps. Once again the music is solid, that Noel Coward could write a song or two, huh? :) Enjoy!
