Today's celebrated dance sequence is "Steam Heat" from the film Pajama Game (1957).

This is such a bizarre quirky number, so Fosse with the turned-in-knees, rolled shoulders, and bowler hats.  When Carol Haney screams, you just feel the rush of sheer delight in the magic of the style!  Bob Fosse  kept developing this style, through Sweet Charity, Chicago, and Cabaret, both on-stage and in film.  Sorry for the quality of this clip, but with dancers like Carol Haney (the lone female) performing here,  you can still get the goods; and what a great song too, from the team of Richard Adler and Jerry Ross too, huh?   Enjoy!
