Vivien Leigh's one lifted eyebrow changed my life, well at least my own eyebrows.  It's true.  I tell my
daughters this story, probably a bit to often.  But, it is pretty funny.  When I would watch Viven Leigh films such as "Waterloo Bridge", or "Fire over England," I loved her acting, but what I really loved was her groovy one lifted brow.  So, when I was ten, I started to practice lifting just one eyebrow, by holding the other eyebrow down.  I would stare into a mirror, pretending to be Vivien in front of a George Hurrell Lens.  Actually worked out a system, I would try to do 10-20 lifts a day, until eventually I was able to raise just one brow.  It took 6 months!  Over the years there was no going back, my one eyebrow continued to get stronger and the other, well sort of just kept lying there.   To this day, whenever I get briefly annoyed with my children, they frequently smile, because there it goes, that one lifted eyebrow.   The truly amusing part, I was practicing on the wrong brow.  Vivien naturally lifted the rights, while I practiced, and now can only lift my left.  Like anyone could ever really capture Vivien Leigh-love her!
